Gloucestershire fell to a James Sales and Chris Lynn inspired Northamptonshire, as the home team powered to victory by seven wicket
It started so well for the Shire with 27 coming off the first three overs, before Miles Hammond played across the line to James Sales and heard the death rattle from middle stump. D’Arcy Short was next to go, losing his cartwheeling off stump to the same bowler for 23.
Ollie Price and Ben Charlesworth (who top-scored with a well made 49), staged a recovery until, Ollie Price became Sales’ third wicket of the night, caught by McSweeney for 18. Jack Taylor, became Sales’ fourth wicket, very shortly after.
