Gloucestershire came out on top in this first ever meeting of the two sides in the T20 format. D’Arcy Short, who made 82 and bagged 4/31 inspired Gloucestershire to victory and Duan Jansen made vital contributions with 15 runs from 4 deliveries and bagged 3 wickets, before Yorkshire were bowled out.

Gloucestershire won the toss and opted to make first use of a used but still a very good pitch. Gloucestershire wanted to make a big total, and to that end Joe Phillips was included in the Matchday XI, at the expense of Craig Miles.

Hasan Ali opened the bowling for Yorkshire and was taken for 11 off his first over by openers Miles Hammond and D’Arcy Short. A couple of quiet overs followed from Moeen Ali & Dom Bess, and in an effort to up the scoring rate, Miles Hammond holed out to Revis at Long On, for 13.
