So the Glos Women took a trip down the A2 and in Chaucer style, the Munday tale and the Phillips tale were integral to this pilgrimage.

Batting first on a wicket that has been full of runs this season and against a side with the dangerous Coco Streets opening the batting, it was imperative that the Glorious Glosters got plenty of runs on the board. Despite the early loss of Meg Ahearne, Amelie Munday underpinned the innings with 75 off just 40 balls. To quote the Bangles, “a Manic Munday” but her form since arriving a couple of weeks ago really gives the top order some stability. Izzy Storrar came in from Berkshire and chipped in, with Georgie Start scoring 33 and Izzy Patel with 27. This saw Gloucestershire to an imposing 191-6 at the end of their 20 overs. Munday became the first Glos Women batter to hit three sixes in an innings, although Start nearly managed the feat, ending on just a couple. Munday also scored the quickest ever 50 in just 30 balls beating her boss, Fran Wilson’s 31 against Wales at Ynystawe back in 2022.
