Bristol is known for being a pitch that rewards patience, momentum and composure. However this plus wet weather leaves the wicket incredibly tricky. The toss was won by Northamptonshire and cleverly elected to bowl.
Gloucestershire struggled to generate sustained momentum with wickets falling in regular intervals and challenges covering starts into match winning contributions. Becca Halliday showed great promise and maintained composure with wickets falling around her. She finished with 46 off 50 balls including 7 fours. Georgina Start (28) is the only other batter to hit over 20 runs. Gloucestershire finished with 143 from 43 overs.
