Ollie Price is the consummate all-rounder. Not just one of the prettiest players in the country, he can bat, bowl and catch pigeons at slip but there is far more to the man than just cricket.
Developed at Abingdon Vale at the same club as the Charlesworth’s, Ollie then moved to Great and Little Tew – the same club as the Taylor’s – before moving to Oxford CC. Having been spotted by Gloucestershire scouts, he joined the pathway at Under 17 level, with his parents Andrew, a knee surgeon and Lizzy, an illustrator making the journey West on a regular basis. You can see why they got elder brother Tom through his driving test at 17. Tom said, “they were pretty relieved when I passed”, in reference to the sacrifices that his parents made.
